What is vibroacoustic therapy?
Sound you can feel. A therapy studied for three decades.
Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) combines specially designed low-frequency sound with calming music, delivered through a purpose-built table, so your client feels the sound as gentle vibration while the music plays.
VAT has been the subject of clinical research for more than three decades. A 2022 BMJ Open scoping review of 20 clinical studies concluded that VAT shows considerable promise as a complementary intervention for pain management and rehabilitation, while highlighting the need for larger, high-quality clinical trials to strengthen the evidence base.

How VAT works in the body
Laboratory research in cell biology shows that cells can sense mechanical movement: gentle vibration is detected at the cell's surface, carried inward by the cell's internal framework, and under studied conditions can influence cellular activity. These are laboratory findings about how cells respond to movement, not claims about treatment outcomes.

Sound, vibration and the evidence behind VAT.
Two separate bodies of evidence: laboratory work on how cells sense mechanical movement, and small human studies of vibroacoustic therapy. Research has explored VAT for pain-related outcomes, but stronger controlled studies are needed, and none of this research tested Resonabed.

What is the difference between Basic, Pro and Platinum?
Basic uses your compatible timber-base table and device. Pro adds a dedicated 10 inch tablet. Platinum adds a new therapy table with the system already fitted. Headphones, 100 disposable headphone covers, the business app, clinic webpage and marketing material are included with all three.
Can I run a clinic on the Home package?
No. Home includes the personal app only. It has no bookings, no client records and no clinic webpage, and it does not include the consumables or flyers a practice needs.
Is shipping included?
No. Shipping is quoted when you reserve your package, then charged with the balance rather than with the initial deposit.
Do I need my own device or table?
It depends on the package. Basic runs on a phone, tablet or laptop you already own, and fits to the treatment table you already use. Pro includes a dedicated 10 inch tablet, pre-configured to run sessions and nothing else, and also fits your existing table. Platinum and Home include both the tablet and a fully fitted out table, so nothing else is needed.
Which tables are compatible?
Any sturdy timber-base treatment table. The transducers mount to the underside of the tabletop so the vibration travels through the timber. Tables with a metal or heavily padded structural base do not transmit the vibration well. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your table before you order, or choose Platinum and start with a fully fitted table.
How long does setup take?
Allow one to two hours for a retrofit. The transducers mount under the tabletop, the amplifier and wiring are secured, and the app is signed in and tested. Platinum and Home arrive already fitted.
How do payments and dispatch work?
You reserve your package with a $100 refundable deposit. Shipping is quoted at that point and charged with the balance. You can then pay the balance in full, or choose the payment plan, which has a deposit balance followed by 10 monthly payments and costs $100 more overall. Your system is dispatched once your payment for that step has cleared.
What warranty and support are included?
Every system carries a 12 month warranty. We help you set up, and support questions about the equipment and the app are answered by us directly.
What about the app and music licence?
Business packages include the Resonabed business app and a 12 month music licence for the 9 Solfeggio tracks, renewable after that. The Home package includes the personal app and its music licence at no ongoing cost. There are no per-session fees.
Who should not use a session?
The app includes a screening step and safe-use guidance that you complete with each client before their first session. Sessions are not unattended treatment and do not replace your professional judgement. Resonabed is a wellbeing product, not a medical device.
Will the tablet go to sleep mid-session?
No. The app keeps your session playing uninterrupted while the screen is in use, so a session will not stop part way through.
